I can't believe anyone could find this impressive! These are all general statements about things that happen in any society from time to time. Women will conspire! The children will be filled with rage! Gains will be shared out only among the rich, with no benefit to the poor! (is this something new?) Leaders of people will be oppressors! People will dance late into the night!

as for the major signs, Imam Mahdi, the smoke, emergence of the beast, dajjal?

people thought most of these signs had come during the life of the Prophet Muhammad, they accused a man, Ibn Sayyad of being the Dajjal...more recently a man claimed to be the Mahdi and stormed the Kaaba, with followers who really believed the world was about to end, and he was killed by Saudi soldiers.

People all over the world claim they're the Mahdi, that so and so is the Dajjal, that adultery is widespread, women are unclothed, people are oppressed, natural disasters happen, and so the world is ending!

Just because things get bad doesn't mean its all going to end. During the black plaque in Europe, which wiped out 30% - 60% of its population, there were widespread cults that really believed the world is coming to an end, they would persecute minorities, whip themselves in the streets, dance around and sing about heaven, but did the world end?

They died by the hundreds, both day and night, and all were thrown in ... ditches and covered with earth. And as soon as those ditches were filled, more were dug. And I, Agnolo di Tura ... buried my five children with my own hands ... And so many died that all believed it was the end of the world.

Maybe it's not so much that the world will end (any time soon) as much as it is that people WANT the world to end...they want this cruel, random, crazy, and indifferent world to be destroyed and move on to a perfect place, where nothing bad ever happens.
